C&A is still in business on the continent and we can say from experience that the branch in Maastricht is still going strong. It is a delightful hat, not in perfect condition slightly squished from storage (nothing that stuffing with a bit of tissue and a light steam won't cure) and the veil is surprisingly still in great condition with, the whole thing looks smart and elegant. The velvet is still in excellent condition with no marks or stains and in a lovely rich colour. The black lining is clean with no marks or stains and bears the label on the side of the hat with '100% viscose and made in the UK' on it. The veil is attached to the top of the hat. There is no elastic to secure it but it sits neatly on the head so doesn't need it but one could easily be added if required.
