This is a super little vintage 50s hat made from pale blue nylon chiffon with a full net veil and dainty bow to the back. It is is in excellent condition notwithstanding the age and shows no evidence of use. The hat is not misshapen and there are no breaks in the net. The white lining is clean with only very slight age discolouration as seen in the photo of the lining below. It is a standard size and has a fine elastic to hold the hat on securely but we think if worn at the back of the head might need the addition of a hat pin as it is quite shallow in height. And it's made in Britain.
A dainty little vintage hat which is currently back in fashion but the high street has yet to catch up, so simple pill box hats are quite difficult to find. This is a dainty little hat, would be super for weddings, Christenings, Royal Ascot, garden parties or dressing up for vintage events, Goodwood Revival springs to mind (if it's on this year...).
