Elegant period piece which remains in excellent condition despite it's advancing years. The exterior lizard skin does look pristine with no wear or damage, even the handle is strong and intact and the 'pull' at the front of the bag to open it bears little sign of use. The handbag has a gilt frame and clasp which are in excellent condition with only very minimal tarnishing, through age rather than use. The attractive curved top bar is covered in lizard skin. The lining is in a beige suede which is not in pristine condition but it is clean with just a few of the almost obligatory pen marks. It has a fully working zipped pocket and large and small slip pockets. The handbag is a decent size for accommodating purse, keys, pens etc.
This is a charming and understated handbag which would complement lots of different outfits and is in fantastic condition for a handbag of this age, or any age really, perfect for Goodwood or other vintage revivals but could also be worn to accessorise smart outfits for weddings, the races etc where a smart formal handbag is de riguer.
