This is an older handbag from the late thirties, which has survived in excellent condition. The brass Art Deco top bar and clasp are still very shiny and untarnished and the leather is in excellent condition. Inside the bag the back and front are lined in an early vinyl material with a side zipped pocket at the back. The gussets are unlined showing the excellent quality of the leather and the frame.There is a very long heavy gilt chain handle, which has suffered some loss of gilt but our opinion does not affect the look of the bag. The chain folds into the bag to turn it into a clutch. Letisse is an American company which has only recently been 'discovered' as a sought after brand of handbag and for quality and design it is a really nice bag.
