How versatile is this gorgeous and very striking python skin clutch bag and in a very useful size! It is not only a clutch but has a fold out gilt handle and a long heavy quality attractive gilt chain, so the handbag can be worn in one of three ways, we love bags that are as versatile as this, so clever. It is in excellent condition but with some lifting of scales through age and drying out of the snake skins but not sufficient to spoil the look of the bag. The gilt frame is in excellent shiny unscratched and untarnished condition to the outside with minimal marks to the inside near the clasp and on the handle. The frame has a gilt section with inset of snakeskin to the front of the bag, a nice touch. The bag is in the most beautiful rich golden creams and brown shades, very eye catching and very wearable. The python markings are also particularly attractive on this bag and great to have it on all sides as the base, both sides of the handbag and side gussets are in snakeskin. The inside is lined in cream suede which is pristine clean and unused looking, apart from a few pinkish marks from a spill (please see photos). The label with snakeskin and made in England is on the lining. There are two wide slip pockets and a full width zipped pocket.
This is an elegant, genuine python skin handbag, of excellent quality, which is vintage yet still in great condition nothwithstanding the lifting of the scales. It would add quite a striking note to any number of outfits and would be perfect for special occasions now that weddings are back with a bang, ideal for mother of the bride (or groom!) or to accessorise casual or smart outfits in the current Summer trend for linens and light fabrics in creams, beiges and coffee. We love it. Perfect original gift for her.
