How glamorous is this handbag, it is a real statement piece, it is large and very eye catching in a glossy black alligator skin with twin handles, distinctive gilt clasp and a cream leather lining what's not to love! It's beautifully made, with lots of detail, of excellent quality and in excellent condition. The skin is still supple and still very glossy with the gilt trim and clasp still bright and shiny with minimal tarnish or loss of shine. The handles are firm, uncreased and strong with no issues and the reinforced base of the handbag is protected by gilt feet. There are two very slim slip pockets outside, just wide enough for invitations etc. The cream leather lining is in excellent condition with no major marks or stains but does have slight abrasions to the cream leather surface in the folds of one side gusset (please see photos). The handbag has a built in wallet purse which secures with a popper, a slip pocket behind it another slip pocket edged in black leather and a zipped pocket. No brand name or label but we think it was probably made in France.
This is a gorgeous handbag, it's glossy, glamorous and very eye catching, it's classy, vintage and high end at a glance. Perfect for Royal Ascot, weddings, investitures or anywhere a smart handbag is called for, an 'old money' handbag. Perfect gift for her.
