A beautiful vintage 80s Liberty of London varuna wool wrap/large scarf in iconic floral design Rose and Peony in rare black/gold/burgundy/rust Autumn or Fall colourway and in excellent condition but with a few tiny holes, too small to photograph, it has a border and the name Liberty printed large on the shawl. This one is in almost perfect condition, with a few tiny holes but no other issues, no snags or tears and the varuna wool itself in excellent condition.
It is also in quite a rare colourway, the design is more often found with lighter colours. This is more dramatic with rich deep Autumn colours of black, gold, rust, wine and cream.
The Liberty name is woven into the wool on the border of the scarf so Liberty at a glance. The edges, as always with these shawls, are self fringed.
This is a a gorgeous Liberty varuna wool shawl, these are no longer made in this exquisite fabric which is lightweight, uncrushable but very warm so perfect for travellings or wearing over an evening outfit. The design is elegant, eminently wearable and classic and should last a lifetime.
