This is a gorgeous, Cornelia James vintage silk scarf, new and unused and still in the original packaging from Cornelia James, royal warrant holder and glove maker to the HM the Queen. The brand is most famous for the white cotton gloves habitually worn by her majesty but it also made also super soft leather gloves and silk scarves (quite a few for royal weddings) so a great pedigree to this one. It is large size silk scarf in pristine condition with just one fault when held up to the light, a missing thread along the length of the bottom border underneath the signature, so it was possibly a second quality scarf. It is in striking Autumnal colours of rust browns, silver grey pale gold on a black background in a classic floral design of roses. The Cornelia james signature is printed in the silk to the bottom corner. It is of excellent quality silk, as would be expected of a high end brand. It has a machine stitched hem and the care label remains.
