This is an elegant, dark raspberry red suede top handle bag, by Fassbender in a classic 50s design with a particularly pretty gilt clasp and suede inset frame and in a great size for all essentials. It's in a gorgeous rich dark raspberry colour suede, with a pale peachy pink silky lining. It is in excellent condition for a 70 yr old handbag but not pristine, it does have darkening to the suede to the corners (please see photos) and where the suede creases but not too noticeable at a glance with the texture and colour of the suede. There is no loss of gilt to the dainty gilt clasp and shiny gilt frame with minimal abrasions from use to the frame itself. The handbag is of excellent quality and looks it. The single suede handle has no creasing and is firm and strong. The handbag has been used but looked after, the lining has a one dark mark, we think ink (visible in the photos) but is otherwise clean with just the odd tiny mark but no stains. There are slip and zipped pockets, with the Fassbender name sewn onto the lining. It's quite a capacious bag as it's soft sided.
A gorgeous classic dark red suede leather handbag, of excellent quality and in a great size for all essentials and from high end brand Fassbender, what's not to love. It's in a classic 50s design and smart enough to wear anywhere, it's understated and elegant and will accessorise vintage or contemporary outfits and is robust enough for every day use to add a pop of colour to a Winter wardrobe. Priced to reflect that it's not pristine so get the look for less and needn't be too precious about it!
