This is a classic 50s 60s handbag, in a dark reddish tan leather from the 50s/60s. It would have been 'the' classic handbag of the time as it would accessorise most coloured outfits. It is in a textured leather, in rich rust red / dark tan which is in pristine condition with little evidence that the handbag has been used at all and no signs of age related wear whatsoever. The exterior leather is gorgous, very tactile and in pristine condition, even to the base. It has a very stylish gilt clasp and frame, still very bright and shiny, with no tarnishing or abrasions. The twin handles look unused and uncreased. The lining is a pale tan suede which is in also in pristine condition (please see photos). It has zipped and slip pockets and the fabric label confirming that it is leather and leather lined.
A very smart and timeless vintage handbag in a classic shape and colour which will complement most outfits but particularly the twin set and pearls variety. It would be perfect for weddings, christenings or other smart occasions but could also be dressed down for casual wear. It's a good quality handbag and looks classy, what's not to love.
