This is an exquisite little vintage 50s/60s handbag, by Waldybag, which is in almost pristine condition apart from a few marks here and there from age and storage rather than use but absolutely excellent and rare for a white handbag. Because of the little bow detail it's probably late 50s/early 60s and it is one of the prettiest and daintiest little vintage handbags we've had. Perfect bridal handbag, occasion, or evening bag. The patent is clear with only a few scuffs or scratches, (please see photos) the handles are as new (slight foxing to handle)and the gilt hardware still shiny. The white patent leather to the front and handle is complemented by the white leather on the top of the frame, the bow and on the sides of the handbag. The little bow is gorgeous. The inside of the handbag is lined in silk which is clean with no marks or stains, just a few scuffs from use. There is a zipped and a slip pocket and the Waldybag label is affixed to the lining. There is the original mirror and dainty little white silk coin purse which matches the lining of the handbag.
On the cuteness scale this handbag is right at the top, we love the small size, the very wearable colour and above all the dainty little bow, it's also excellent quality from a high end brand (as worn by royalty, HM the Queen and her late sister Princess Margaret) and in fantastic condition. It could be worn anywhere a classic handbag is called for, large enough for smart or formal daytime events, weddings (perfect handbag for a bride), christenings, garden parties, the races etc but it is also small enough to be worn with evening wear, perfect for Glyndebourne, perfect for Goodwood, perfect gift for her.
It is 8" x 6" x 1.5"
