This is a large deep forest green patent leather handbag made in England by Holmes of Norwich. It is in excellent, almost pristine condition and in a rare and eminently wearable colour. At a glance it looks like a brand new bag and on close inspection there are some minor abrasions along the back of the bag, too small to show up in photos. The handles are uncreased and as new, the understated and elegant gilt clasp is still shiny with no tarnish or loss of gilt, as is the frame where visible inside the handbag. The black silky grosgrain lining is in pristine condition, clean with no marks or stains. There is a slip pocket and a zipped pocket and the Holmes label on the lining.
This is a super handbag, in a very rare sought after colour and from Holmes, a well known quality brand. It's an elegant shape and a great size for all essentials. It could be dressed up for formal or smart events, as well as for less formal events and we think it would make a great addition to any wardrobe, vintage or otherwise.
