An absolutely super vintage leather handbag, in an unusual colour and finish with a really special looking lucite top bar, all in excellent, virtually pristine condition. This handbag is in a really great milky chocolate brown/taupe colour with a pearlescent sheen to the leather. There are no scuffs or scratches to the surface but one or two tiny almost imperceptible dings to the leather from bad storage which are hardly noticeable. The handle is like new and an indication of the lack of use this handbag has had. The clasp is shiny with minimal age related tarnish and it closes the handbag with a very satisfying click. The base is unmarked. The handbag is lined is a pale beige suede which is clean with no marks or stains. There is a zipped pocket and a slip pocket edged in pearlescent leather. There is no indication of the brand but from the quality of materials and workmanship it is clearly a high end handbag.
This is a very elegant and classic handbag with a very rare lucite trim and in a very versatile colour, perfect for mother of the bride, goes with all sorts of colours. It looks sophisticated and understated and would be perfect as a special occasion handbag for any event where a smart bag is called for, weddings, Ascot, Goodwood etc. The lucite top bar takes this handbag out of the ordinary and is very rare to find in this fabulous condition.
