This handbag from top vintage brand Waldybag is absolutely gorgeous, it is in excellent, almost pristine condition and in a very wearable colour combo of pale coffee/cream and suitable for smart day wear or evening. It looks as though it has rarely been used and very well looked after as there is no creasing to the rolled sil handles or silk side gussets. There is little evidence of use or wear to the outside and no discolouration or damage. The clasp is delightful, it is in a twisted lilies shape with a faux pearl in each lily, this was a popular style of frame/clasp used by Waldybag and it is rare to find both pearls still intact wit h no loss of the 'pearl'. The inside of the handbag is in as good condition as the outside, it is lined in a pale cofee oyster silk satin, with the original mirror. The lining is clean, no marks, just a few small dings and scuffs to the silk to show that it has been used. The Waldybag name and logo is embossed in gilt on the lining.
This little handbag is delightful, it is small, dainty, ladylike and from a high end collectable brand which is not available to buy on the high street, what's not to love. It would be perfect as an occasion handbag for weddings, Christenings etc as well as perfect for evening wear. It would look stunning worn over a black evening dress with a mink (or faux mink) stole, very Hollywood glamour from a bygone age but up to date with the current trend for vintage.
