SOLD Vintage handbag 50s in buttercream Luxan hide leather with fine suede lining made in England
This is a very streamlined and elegant handbag which is in virtually pristine condition in a rich buttercream colour. Luxan hide was a leather which was specially treated to shrug off spills and marks and was used on high end expensive handbags such as those made by Waldybag. This handbag is unbranded but is of high end quality. The leather to the outside is in excellent virtually unmarked condition with no scuffs, scratches or creasing to the leather, even to the handle and very little evidence of wear to the handbag at all, just the odd mark to a corner, not really noticeable. It is quite rare to find pale coloured handbags in such good condition. The gilt clasp and frame are in excellent condition, still bright and shiny with no discolouration, tarnish or abrasions. The handbag is lined in a pale beige fine suede which is clean with no marks or stains. There is a leather edged slip pocket and a zipped pocket with a further slip pocket behind.
This is an understated and elegant handbag, of excellent quality and in excellent condition. It would perfectly accessorise any smart Summer outfit, whether it be for a formal occasion such as a wedding, a lunch, garden party etc or to add a light touch to a business suit. It is a great size, not too big to be elegant but not too small to be useful. It is in a gorgeous, very versatile and wearable colour and would make a great gift.
It is 12" x 7" x 3"
