SOLD Vintage 50s 'Two Tix' unused gentlemen's tan leather dressing case in original box made in England

This is a charming vintage dressing case from collectable brand 'Two-Tix'. The box has seen better days but it has kept the leather case in pristine condition. The set comprises of a mirror, comb, a chrome backed wooden clothes brush, a soap holder, a cylindrical holder with bakelite screw top for shaving soap and one for a shaving brush. There is also an original Gillette razor with razor blade. The label with 'Two Tix' is sewn into the case.
This is a fabulous little piece of kit which is also a piece of history. With the advent of electric and battery shavers in the 60s and onwards men tended to go for those new and more modern appliances and then with the rise of the disposable razor these were relegated to the back of the cupboard, the market dwindled so they were no longer made in large numbers. Those that have survived in unused or barely used condition are therefore quite sought after since there has lately been a resurgence in the popularity of these razors for wet shaves, together with a certain nostalgia for well made and useful items. And they don't run out of battery, need that mislaid charger, or need a mains supply to use! These sets are also a stylish thing to own and perfect for travelling. Perfect for a gift.
