This is an absolutely gorgeous, striking, large and perfectly formed Mary Poppins style carpet bag in shades of mushroom/grey, pinky beige and black in an iconic zig zag 70s design and colour palette. It's in a soft velour/chenille fabric and we love it. It is in excellent, virtually pristine condition throughout with little evidence of use. The lining is in WA's usual stiffened silky brown fabric, clean with no marks or stains. It has a zipped pocket and slip pocket edged in gold, a feature of WA handbags. The WA label is still affixed to the lining. The handle is semi rigid black faux leather covered and looks unused. The gilt frame and fabulous big gilt chunky clasp are gorgeous with very minimal age or use related abrasions or tarnish, still bright and shiny. WA handbags have quite a following, the designs are fantastic with lots of interesting detail and they are all made from man made materials, including their leather look handbags, so perfect for vegans! We've called this a Mary Poppins bag as it's the sort of bag which looks like it could accommodate lots of 'stuff', including a standard lamp!
