This is a an absolutely exquisite handbag from our favourite brand Waldybag. It is the quintessential, black leather, twin handled bag and this particularly elegant design with the shaped top was also available in a limited range of other colours. It is in mint condition, unused and in it's original box. It has no signs of use to the exterior. The black calf leather is in superb condition, with a smooth surface and subtle sheen rather than high shine. The handles are rigid, self supporting and unused. The original swing tag is still attached. The understated, neat gilt clasp is in pristine condition with no scratches or tarnish. The base is unmarked. The lining doesn't disappoint either, it is immaculate, couple of tiny age marks only, with a small matching coin purse in suede. There are the usual Waldybag slip and lipstick pockets and the iconic lozenge shaped leather panel with 'Exclusive Waldybag Made in England' embossed in gilt.
This is a fabulous handbag, it is of the highest quality and from a top end and sought after vintage brand (examples of Waldybags are in the V&A and were worn by royalty, pretty good credentials for quality we'd say). The fact that it is still boxed and unused is the icing on the cake. A handbag of this calibre made today would be into four figures, so grab this bag when you can as these are becoming much harder to source in this condition. It is also in a very good size for regular use and could be worn to any function, however smart and as a bonus it is highly unlikely you will bump into anyone with the same.
