A large square silk head scarf, in excellent condition and made for the National Gallery by Fox and Chave as one of a small range of silk scarves depicting art works at the Gallery. The silk is in excellent condition still crisp with a gentle silk sheen in a delicate and pretty floral design in rich blues, muted reds, gold and pink on an ivory grey background. It has a wide border of stripes in muted reds and grey and a royal blue outer border. The scarf has a hand rolled hem, still fully intact. The fabric care label remains attached.
