This is a gorgeous handbag, in a rare blue slightly pearlescent finish from Rayne, a high end renowned brand which held a royal warrant from the late Queen Elizabeth and also made the shoes for her Majesty's wedding in 1947. So if the brand was good enough for HM the Queen... This is in almost pristine condition, looks infrequently used and well looked after, still with the original fabric dustbag. The dark gilt simple clasp is still shiny with no loss of gilt and no tarnish. The handles are uncreased. The handbag is lined in a oyster beige silk with two slip pockets edged in leather, a zipped pocket and it still retains the matching silk coin purse. The lining is in excellent clean condition. The name Rayne is still attached to the lining. There is a pair of pale blue fine calf leather occasion gloves wth the handbag, they are of excellent quality, in a size 71/2 and although have been worn are in super condition.
This is a gorgeous handbag, classic and classy, eye catching and stylish and from a top end brand so excellent quality too. It is quintissentially 60s in colour and style and immaculate condition to the exterior, what's not to love! It would add a touch of class to any outfit, vintage or contemporary and perfect for weddings and other smart occasions,Royal Ascot, Goodwood Revival, graduations. Handbags of this quality and condition don't come along often, especially in this very sought after colour and a new handbag of this quality made today would cost a four figure sum.
Perfect gift for her.
