This is an elegant and classy red lizard skin handbag from Royal warrant holder Rayne, presumably made shortly after it had taken over Waldybag in the 70s, as both names appear on the red silk lining of the handbag, a double whammy of quality and class. It's in a dark raspeberry red lizard skin which is in pristine condition, showing no signs of age or use to the lizard skin, the only evidence of wear being some minor loss of colour to the slim leather piping on the edges which will be polished out prior to dispatch. There are no scratches or scuffs or other signs of wear to the front, base or back of the handbag. The handles are firm, intact and look unused with no creasing or discolouration from use. The gilt frame is immaculate no discolouration or tarnish at all. The inside of the handbag is also in near pristine condition with minimal marks and no stains to the red silk lining and just minor indents from use. There is a little mirror in a velvet feel pouch in one of the slip pockets, not sure if original or not. The name Rayne, with Waldybag underneath is embossed in gilt on the lining and the words Made in England. A high quality top end brand as worn by royalty, what's not to love.
