This is a very striking 70s statement handbag in black glacé soft leather (not as shiny as patent) with a bronze snakeskin print to the flap over clasp and to the integral handle. The front has the effect of faint lines in the leather. The handbag is in very good to excellent condition and really eye catching. It's quite a 'different' looking handbag with the slim boxy shape and with the integral large handle. There are small gilt rings inside which can be used to fix a gilt chain, there was probably a long leather shoulder strap originally with the handbag rather than a gilt chain, but a slim chain would look great. The condition of the leather to the front is excellent, slight marks to the leather here and there and to the back a few scratches and marks (please see photos) so very good condition. It is lined in black suede to the handles and top of the bag with black textured fabric to the rest, it has one compartment and one slip pocket. It is clean inside with no marks or stains. The brand name Renata and Italy is on a gilt plaque attached to the lining. A good quality brand of handbags and shoes.
A striking handbag, in a useable size and smart enough to wear anywhere. It is quite an unusual style and of lovely quality so if it is a 'different' handbag you are looking for, not run of the mill high street, then this is a perfect choice. Can be dressed up or down, perfect for Royal Ascot, weddings etc and is in very wearable colours, we love it. A great gift for her, or keep it for yourself!
