This is a good quality twin handled bag made in England for John Lewis and sold under the John Lewis own brand label 'Jonelle'. Many handbags were made by Ackery and sold under the Jonelle name, not sure if this is one of them but the quality is the same. This is in very good to excellent but not pristine condition, the leather to the exterior has a few marks on close inspection but not noticeable at a glance. The corners have some loss of colour and there are a few marks to the base from being set down on surfaces. The handles are firm and strong and uncreased but there is some loss of colour to the edges through use. The gilt frame and clasp are bright shiny and untarnished. The mid tan suede lining to the inside of the handbag has just the odd pen mark, it is free of other marks and stains but is a little tired from age. There is a zipped and slip pocket in the lining, with the leather Jonelle label with 'made in England' on it.
A very smart little handbag, not in pristine condition but very wearable and in a very useful colour which will add a lift to dark outfits for Winter and complement pale ones for the Summer. Notwithstanding the odd mark to the handbag it is perfectly suitable for weddings, the races etc and would make a very versatile and attractive addition to the handbag wardrobe and at a price you don't need to be too precious about it.
