This is a super little leather classic top handle (or two top handle) bag, in a glorious bright lime green(or Spring green) depending on your view, with a light tan suede lining. It is in not in pristine condition, there are a few marks to the back and front but not noticeable at a glance(please see photos) and these are caused by bad storage rather than use. In all other respects the handbag is in excellent condition with little evidence of use. The handles are uncreased and look new, the gilt hardware to the clasp has diminished to a bronze colour and whilst there is some tarnish and scratches from use to the gilt frame inside, this can't be seen when the handbag is in use. The handbag is lined in a mid tan suede which is clean with no marks or stains, looks unused. There is a zipped pocket and two slip pockets which are edged in the same lime green leather as the handbag, usually a sign of quality. There is no brand label but it is a good quality handbag probably made by one of the major handbag makers to be sold through department stores or leather goods shops under their own brand. The colour is nearest to the majority of the photos, the close up of the inside is darker than the leather actually is.
This is a classic 50s 60s very desirable dainty little lime green leather handbag, smaller than most, of excellent quality and in a very rare lcolour. It is smart enough to wear anywhere, to weddings, christenings etc and would look great with anything from a little black or navy suit to a floral summer frock. Notwithstanding the imperfections (it is vintage!) a perfect gift for her.
