This is an absolutely super raffia handbag for Summer, in perennially popular classic 60s colour combination of black and white. It is in pristine condition, with original tags despite dating back to the 60s. It's a very stylish and capacious handbag in a large size and still retains the sales tag with the price of 37/6 (thirty seven shillings and sixpence) just under £2 back in the day! It has a covered handle in the same raffia and some age and bad storage related marking to the gilt clasp. The outside is in pristine condition, clean with no snags or frayed ends, including the base. The inside is black silky man made fabric, in pristine unused condition. There is one small slip pocket and the label Foreign but the brand name on the tag is Rubella.
This is a super handbag, very stylish and quintessentially swinging 60s, in a great size for all essentials. Robust enough to be worn on a regular basis it would suit both smart or casual outfits.
