This is an absolutely fabulous and über elegant gold lurex clutch bag by After Five, with matching coin purse and fold out chain and all in fabulous almost pristine condition. After Five was an American company which made high quality evening bags and this is a perfect example. The fabric is still in excellent condition both inside and out notwithstanding the age of the bag and the pale colours. We absolutely love the bow to the front and the delicious gilt and diamanté clip over clasp, the bow is quite Audrey Hepburn/Jackie O. The gilt clasp is still shiny with minimal loss of gilt and no los of diamanté. The inside is lined in a pale coffee silk with a matching little attached coin purse. It is clean and fresh with no marks or stains, so obviously carefully used. The After Five name is still visible, embossed in gilt on the lining. There is an optional fold out chain for holding the bag over the arm, perfect for a drink in one hand and canapé in the other! The clutch is a good size for essentials but still dainty.
This is an absolutley adorable, elegant little clutch evening or occasion bag, in a fabulous colour which would be the perfect glamorous accessory for any evening or for smart day events. Perfect for cruises, balls, weddings or anywhere a bit of Hollywood old school glamour is called for. The clutch is a perfect size not too large but room for all essentials and as it's an After Five the quality is assured. It is glamorous and gorgeous, we love it.
