An absolutely fabulous vintage silk Waldybag handbag for evening or special occasions. Gorgeous shape with soft silk rolled handles and rolled side 'flutes' to corners with glamorous diamanté accents, one tiny missing diamanté stone visible on close inspection (we missed it first time!) to corners. Laarger stones to the rare silvertone clasp (most tend to be gilt). Luxury and olde world glamour. The shape of this handbag is elegant and understated and in a very good size for all essentials. In immaculate clean condition. The clasp is particularly rare and pretty. The bag is lined in immaculate black silk, the lining clean with little signs of use. The slip pockets are edged in silver, now worn to a copper with age. The Waldybag logo is embossed in gold on the silk lining, the quality is obvious at a glance. It looks more modern than expected from the original Waldy logo, more 60s.
This silk Waldybag would make a fabulous addition to a vintage or contemporary wardrobe, it is sheer glamour yet understated, it oozes class. It could be used for evening or for smart or formal day wear, weddings, Ascot...
