This is an absolutely adorable, dainty little vintage 60s beaded Resort hand basket purse handbag, from a top end brand Rosenfeld, in excellent, virtually pristine condition made in Italy. There are examples of harry rosenfeld handbags in the Metropolitam Museum of Art. It is highly collectable, created with silver lamé metallic thread, woven into a mesh and covered with irridescent silver grey lucite beads onto a very pale grey satin (probably silk satin)base. The irridescent lucite beads catch the light beautifully. Inside there is a fixed purse with a kiss lock clasp, the clasp being embedded with diamanté. The is bag small, just big enough for esentials but it makes a big statement and we adore the cuteness of it with the 'dolce vita' style woven fabric and the beading (think Audrey Hepburn, Roman Holiday, open top sports cars, big sunglasses and head scarves). The handle is heavily beaded with no beads missing. This is a very rare and sought after hand basket in a very wearable pale grey/silvery shade, very on trend and perfect for Spring/Summer or for evening wear, anytime. The Rosenfeld label is sewn into the lining.
