This is a gorgeous handbag in a glorious bright lipstick red leather by Debonair, which was an own label brand name of the department store Debenham and Freebody which became Debenhams. It is in excellent condition with the smooth red leather having very minimal scratches or scuffs to the smooth leather surface. There is one ding to the front (visible in the photos) which is barely noticeable and should lessen with warmth and proper storage, and a few minor dings to the back. The handbag is in clean and barely used condition. The handles are uncreased and look as new, the gilt hardware is still shiny with minimal tarnish from age, not really noticeable. Inside, the handbag is lined in a mid tan suede which is clean with no marks or stains, there is a zipped pocket (the zip is stuck open) and a slip pocket which is edged in red leather. The Debonair label with 'Exclusive for Debenhams', is fixed to the lining.
This is a classic and very desirable lipstick red leather handbag, of excellent quality, in excellent condition and from a household name brand. It is smart enough to wear anywhere, to weddings, christenings etc and would look great with anything from a little black or navy suit to a floral summer frock. Lipstick red Kelly bags are very sought after and examples in such excellent condition are few and far between.
