This is a beautiful vintage handbag in a glorious rich glossy chestnut colour which is now quite hard to find, especially in such excellent condition. It is made by Riviera a high end brand which made handbags sold through high end department stores such as Harrods. There is a single top handle which is in good condition, there are a few loose stitches to the top of the bag which nevertheless do not affect the strength of the handle at all and are only noticeable on very close inspection. There are no breaks or splits to the handle or the rest of the crocodile skin of the handbag at all, it is in superb condition with a high shine mirror finish to the crocodile skin. There is a crocodile covered top bar and and the gilt frame and clasp, while showing some signs of wear, are still bright and shiny. The interior lining of the handbag is cream leather which is clean, apart from the obligatory pen mark and a faint stain about the size of a 50p, the faint stain has a pink hue and can be seen in the photo to the left of centre below the zipped pocket. The base of the handbag has four gilt studs to protect it when put down so it is in excellent condition.
