This is a rare attractive and stylish 1953 HM the Queen coronation scarf in rich deep colours of pink, ivory and burgundy. It is in excellent condition with no foxing, holes or snags. The scarf has line drawings of our Queen Elizabeth II with snippets of text from her coronation oath, surrounded at the four corners by drawings of our Queen and what we assume are drawings of Queen Elizabeth I. The outside border is in quite a deeper burgundy shade of the pink, which sets off the paler pink of the main body of the scarf beautifully. Like most of these scarves it was not high end at the time of the coronation and has done very well to last this long and in such excellent condition. Perfect for re enactments or to wear whenever there is a royal event such as Her Majesty's next Jubilee celebration.
A great souvenir of the coronation but also very wearable 50s chic. Becoming increasingy hard to find in such excellent condition. Perfect gift for her.
It is 30" x 30"
