How fabulous is this vintage 60s/70s Rayon Satin scarf by St Michael, the own brand label of our high street's favourite store (allegedly) Marks and Spencer. It's absolutely gorgeous in a rich deep turquoise, with a design of Autumn leaves in shades of copper, gold and green in super glossy satin which is in virtually pristine condition, looks unworn. When held up to the light there is a faint line (visible in pic 1) which we think is probably a flaw in the fabric but not noticeable when in use. It looks like silk but is a little stiffer than silk would be. It's made in Italy which is quite rare, as back in the day St Michael prided itself on the fact that virtually all of it's clothing was made in the UK. Still, the Italians do make exceedingly good scarves! Machine stitched hem, all intact, care label remains.
A beautiful scarf, not high end but in immaculate condition and punches well above it's weight in the style stakes. A piece of history you can wear! Perfect gift for her.
It is 27" x 27"
