How fabulous is this MacLaren red patent leather twin handled classic Ladylike bag! We love it, in fact we love red patent handbags, they add such a splash of colour to an outfit and they don't come much better than this one. It's a high quality handbag in a square boxy shape with a little curve to the top to expose the simple dainty clasp, itself unusual as these handbags usually come with a gilt clasp, this is silver tone. The cherry red patent leather is in excellent, virtually pristine condition looks unused. The frame is covered in patent leather, shiny with no scratches or marks from use, apart from a teeny ding to the back and a small nick to the base (please see photos). The silver tone clasp is also bright and shiny with no tarnish. The patent leather itself has no abrasions or scuffs to the surface, it has obviously been very well looked after and stored very well. The inside is lined in mid tan suede with patent leather edged full width slip pockets (the leather edging a sign of quality and attention to detail) and a zipped pocket. The MacLaren label with the details that it's leather and made in Norwich remains. The suede lining is clean and fresh with no marks or stains, looks new and unused. The handbag is a great size for all essentials but not too large to be dainty or worn for evenings.
A gorgeous and eye catching red patent leather vintage bag, in a fabulous vibrant cherry red and from a well known and collectable brand MacLaren. It would accessorise most outfits, from adding a pop of colour to a little black Winter suit, a splash of colour to a floral Summer frock or little Chanel style suit. It would be perfect for weddings, Royal Ascot, Goodwood or any other occasion (when they resume!) where a smart but dainty handbag is called for.
