Gorgeous vintage 60s iconic little dainty black patent leather vintage handbag by Mastercraft in classic Ladylike bag style, with exquisite and unusual gilt clasp, which opens the bag by squeezing the 'legs' together, and made in Canada. How cute is this handbag! We love it. It is a classy and classic excellent quality handbag in the style often worn by the late First Lady of America, the ever chic and elegant Jackie Kennedy Onassis. It is in excellent condition, almost pristine and made from high quality patent leather. The condition of the patent to the outside is excellent, no wear at all to the patent (please see photos). The stylish gilt hardware is shiny with minimal loss of gilt and the semi rigid handle has no creases from use. The base is protected by gilt studs. The inside is lined in black faux leather which is clean with no evidence of use. Although a small and dainty handbag, it is deceptively capacious at 3" in depth. The Mastercraft name is embossed in gilt on the lining.
