This is a Marmite handbag, you love it or loathe it, we love it! A super 70s large chenille bag by Weymouth American in very eye catching zig zag design in emarald green, mustard, cream and black. It looks like the fabric used on 70s big sofas, as seen in early James Bond or Simon Templar movies (you may still have one!). It has a stunning black lucite frame and clasp, with black faux leather handles. It is in excellent condition, really unusual and would make a massive styl statement as well as accomodate masses of 'stuff'. The chenille is clean and with still vibrant colours (one tiny patch of wear near the clasp (please see photos), the lucite frame has no cracks or splits and the handles look unused, firm and strong. The lining is black fabric which is clean with just a couple of minor marks to show it's ever been used. It has the typical WA gold edged zipped and slip pockets.
A really bold vintage Weymouth American 'in your face' tote bag which will hold masses of stuff, a real statement piece no logos or waiting lists, just a great bag which should last another 40+ years.
Perfect gift for her (if you know her really well...)
It is 13" x 9.5" x 4"
