This is quite an unusual handbag to find, think Carnaby Street, Swinging 60s, Twiggy, monochrome colour schemes, Modigliani and white patent knee high boots (you had to be there!). It's a gorgeous handbag, from quality brand Holmes of Norwich and quite a statement piece. It's in pristine condition, with minimal signs of use or age related wear over the years and no damage or scuffs to the patent leather anywhere we can see. The shoulder strap is uncreased, looks unused and just folded from storage and it can be tucked into the handbag for the bag to be worn as a clutch. The handbag has obviously been well looked after and hardly, if ever, used for the last 50+ years. The inside of the handbag is lined in a navy grosgrain fabric which is clean with no marks or stains. There are zipped and slip pockets and the Holmes label with made in England on it still attached to the lining.
A gorgeous and eyecatching monochrome handbag, very 60s in look but we think made in the 70s because of the magnetic clasp. Can be worn for smart or casual occasions and for anyone who was a teeneger back in the 60s/70s this is a really nostalgic handbag and in great condition to boot. Perfect gift for her.
