This is a vintage python skin handbag dating from the 40s/50s but in super condition after 70 years. It is in excellent condition, both inside and out and because it has a boxy shape and postman's lock the 'look' is very on trend today. It is in very wearable natural python skin colours of browns and creams and very attractive with the boxy shape and top handle. There is minimal lifting of skins, which are still quite supple and unfaded. The top bar and frame is snakeskin covered and the silvertone postman's lock is still amazingly shiny for the age of the bag. The inside is lined in a mid tan soft leather which is clean, there are a few pen marks but no other marks and no stains. There are wide slip and lipstick pockets to the lining.
A gorgeous and eye catching dainty little handbag which would look stunning against most block coloured outfits, easy to wear and large enough for all essentials despite being quite dainty looking. We love the boxy shape and vibrant skins, it's not high end but it punches well above its weight in the style stakes.
It is 9.5" x 7" x 3.5"
