This is a beautiful handbag in quite a rare blond crocodile skin which is in excellent condition and very high end looking at the quality of the materials and workmanship. It is in a good size for a crocodile handbag and in a dainty and ladylike boxy, almost 'speedy bag' shape. It is in virtually mint condition, very minimal loss of gilt to the clasp and top bar where visible, the front top bar being crocodile covered. The clasp opends the handbag by sueezing the two buttons inwards. The bag is in a fabulous creamy blond crocodile skin which is in still in glossy, cared for condition with no scratches, splits or cracks to the crocodile skin, except for one tiny split of about 1/4" at the bottom of a side gusset (please see photos) which is not noticeable and doesn't affect the handbag's use at all. The handles are firm and strong with minimal signs of use and no creasing, cracking or splitting and no discolouration from being carried. A problem with paler coloured vintage leather and skin handbags is that the handles tend to darken with use. The inside of the handbag is lined in very fine beige calf leather in a colour which matches the exterior of the handbag perfectly. The lining is gorgeous, absolutely pristine, clean and free from marks or stains. The pockets are edged in crocodile, a further illustration of the quality of this handbag. The insides of the pockets are immaculate.
This is a beautiful handbag, in excellent condition, from a high end brand (but not sure which !). The quality of the workmanship and materials is first class and because of the colour and the gilt frame with the crocodile covering it looks high end and classic. It looks quality at a glance. A handbag of this calibre made today would cost thousands of pounds and these vintage ones are becoming harder to find, especially so made and in these lighter colours in excellent and above condition.
