This is an absolutely exquisite and gorgeous dainty little handbag from our favourite brand Waldybag. It is in the most elegant design and in excellent condition with only very minimal wear. The patent leather is still in excellent shiny condition with only slight abrasions visible on close inspection. The handles and the leather sides and base look unused. The very pretty shaped top to the handbag is enhanced by the leather 'bows' for want of a better description, to each of the handles at the front where they join the bag.
The handbag has two slip pockets lined in navy grosgrain outside the central compartment, very useful for tickets, invitations etc they are in excellent clean condition. The frame is leather covered with only the gilt clasp on show. This clasp is an attractive shape with a textured finish. It has slight darkening of the metal to one side. Inside the handbag the lining is the trademark Waldybag tri - pocket design with a central slip pocket and slim lipstick pockets either side. There is a wide zipped pocket on the opposite side and the Waldybag label Exclusive Waldybag made in England fixed to the slip pocket. The lining is navy silk with a matching silk coin purse which is immaculate and unused, with slight foxing to the white silk lining and minimal scuffs from use. It has obviously been hardly or very carefully used. Overall the lining is almost as new, very clean and still with the gorgeous sheen of quality silk.
This is an absolutely exquisite vintage handbag, from a high end brand, as worn by royalty and Hollywood stars. There are Waldybags in the V&A, such is the quality of the design, materials and craftsmanship. This particular one is gorgeous, it is dainty, elegant and would be an eye catching addition to any smart wardrobe. It is in an eminently wearable colour, could be worn for day or evening, to even the most exalted events and it is most unlikely that anyone else will have the same!
