This is a fabulous and striking handbag, a real Mrs Maisel handbag which is quite unlike any we have seen. It is in pristine condition with no wear at all, quite unused and in its original (we believe) box. There is a single top handle in leather and a leather covered frame with a gilt clasp, untarnished and still shiny. The rest is a heavily beaded fabric with a design in black, midnight blue and bronze beads. Fabulous. The beads are iridescent and sparkle beautifully when the light hits them. What particularly sets this apart from a run of the mill beaded handbag, is the size, this is huge. The inside of the handbag doesn't disappoint either. It is lined in a stiff faux suede fabric, with almost a flock texture to it, hardly seen nowadays but popular in the 40s and 50s. This particular faux suede is in pristine, new condition. There is a cute little coin purse on a gilt chain which is similarly unused. There is no brand label or any indication of who may have made it but it is a well made handbag and a real show stopper.
