This is an absolutely gorgeous, eye catching large carpet bag in shades of mustard, rust and brown in an iconic 70s design and colour palette. It's in a soft velour/chenille fabric. We love it, BUT it does have issues, like no lining! It is in good condition to the outside, it does have a black mark to the fabric on the outside(please see photos) but other than that the chenille is in good condition. The lining to the inside has been removed, it would usually be lined in WA's usual dark brown stiffened silky fabric but this has clearly been removed at some stage to reveal the inside of the chenille and one large open space, no pockets but it is clean. The handle is rigid and made from a material which is metal/plastic based but looks like wood or leather, slightly bent which gives it a quirky look. The gilt frame and fabulous big gilt chunky clasp are gorgeous but do have considerable age related tarnish (please see photos). WA handbags have quite a following, the designs were fantastic with lots of interesting detail and they were all made from man made materials, including their leather look handbags so perfect for vegans! We've called it a Mary Poppins bag as it's the sort of bag which looks like it should accommodate lots of 'stuff', including a standard lamp!
The handbag is gorgeous, it's tactile, big and bold but cute and dainty at the same time, It's very eye catching, iconic 70s, of great quality and in a great size for work or for overnight or weekends and you can be sure that no one will be wearing the same! BUT it does have issues (like tarnish and no lining!) but we still love it and have priced it to reflect the condition. So get the look for less, ditch the tote and buy this, make a statement.
It is 14" x 11" x 4"
