An elegant and understated classic handbag which is stylish and in excellent condition from top end vintage brand Riviera. The handbag looks barely used, the front of the handbag has a few marks and the odd one to the back, as seen in the photos, probably caused during storage and not enough to spoil the look of the bag. The gilt clasp is attractive in a bow style and we love the leather insert to the gilt top bar, nice attention to dertail. The twin handles are uncreased and look unused. The frame is in very good condition with minimal discolourationto the gilt. The handbag is lined in a pale tan suede which is unmarked. There are leather edged slip pockets, a sign of quality and attention to detail and a zipped pocket with the Riviera signature zip pull. There is a black leather/gilt label fixed to the lining stating that it is a Riviera and made in England. Riviera was a high end brand sold in smart department stores, 'back in the day'.
This is a classic vintage handbag, in excellent condition and in a colour which goes with everything. It is dainty and has sufficient detail to make it an 'occasion' handbag but understated enough to be worn smart or casual. And with the odd mark already, no need to feel precious about using it. Perfect gift for her.
