This is a gorgeous little crocodile skin handbag which is in excellent condition and from a high end brand which we think is Riviera judging by the zip pull but cannot be sure. It is in a rich toffee coloured mirror finish crocodile skin which is still supple with no cracks or splits to the skin, even to the handle which remains firm and strong. The skins to the front, back and sides have no discernible scuffs or scratches and the base, despite having no studs, has only minimal loss of shine from being placed on surfaces. The gilt clasp and frame where visible are both still shiny with minimal age related tarnish and no scratches. There is an attractive pull tab to the front of the handbag to pull it open when the clasp is operated. The inside is lined in a toning suede with two crocodile edged slip pockets and a zipped pocket. The suede does bear minor signs of use but it is clean with no major marks or stains, there is one tiny pen mark on one of the side gussets.
This is an elegant and dainty, ladylike little vintage crocodile handbag in a gorgeous colour and although not branded, the quality of the workmanship and materials shows it is a high end handbag. It would be perfect for any event where a smart and formal handbag is required, weddings, Ascot, Glyndebourne, Goodwood etc and will last for a few more generations if properly looked after. It is also small and dainty enough to be worn with evening dress. It is classic and classy and in a great and versatile colour to accessorise most outfits.
