An elegant small and dainty classic 50s/60s brown patent leather top handle bag, with a bit of a twist in that his has an unusual faux tortoiseshell lucite 'collar' which is very eye catching. It is in very good condition, very stylish and from top end brand brand Widegate, as sold through Harrods. The patent leather at a glance looks excellent but on close inspection does have very fine scratches and on the back a few small marks which is from bad storage rather than use. The handles are firm, strong uncreased and look unused with one tiny crack to one handle where it attaches to the handbag but doesn't affect the strength of the handle. There is an understated gilt clasp which is still shiny with mminimal loss of gilt. The base is protected by gilt studs. The inside is lined in a mid tan suede, clean with minimal marks from age/use and with a zipped pocket and slip pockets, one full width edged in patent. The Widegate label is sewn into the lining.
This is a gorgeous dainty little handbag by Widegate, with the very unusual fux tortoiseshell lucite feature which pulls it out of the ordinary. An excellent quality handbag It's in great condition, not pristine but still looks gorgeous.
