A very eye catching rare yellow patent leather classic Ladylike bag from Meadows of Regent Street. It is rare because of the colour, it is very, very difficult to find yellow vintage handbags, especially in excellent condition. It is also rare because it has the wide flat stitched handles, as opposed to the more usual rolled and stitched or narrow slim handles. It is in excellent condition and of good quality materials and workmanship. The outside is still glossy and shiny with no abrasions or scratches of note. It does have a couple of marks to the front and back, possible pen marks or from bad storage (these are visible in the photos) but not noticeable at a glance because of the mottled finish. There are a couple of marks to the patent covered outer frame, again not noticeable at a glance. The gilt frame itself has very minor speckles of tarnish, ditto the comments about being noticeable, but it is still shiny with few scratches to the metal. The handbag is unusual in that it has a patent covered top bar as a decorative feature, outside of the main frame giving it a more boxy look, a feature usually found on small Eros or Fassbender handbags. The clasp is firm and strong and opens the handbag to a pale suede lining which is clean with just the odd mark to the base(please see photos). The two slip pockets are edged in patent leather. The Meadows Regent Street label is affixed to the lining.
