This is an elegant and understated little mustard/yellow silky fine grosgrain pillbox hat which dates from the 50s but is in excellent condition despite being a little squished form bad storage. The fabric has a slight sheen to it and no noticeable wear from age or use. The veil is a little curly from bad storage but will be smoothed out by the time of purchase. It is a short veil just covering the hat itself rather than a half or full face veil. There is a cute little bow on top of the hat, very 50s. The hat is lined in a cream silky fabric, clean with no sign of wear and there is a fine elastic to secure the hat behind the ears.
A super little hat which could be dressed up for smart weddings or grand summer garden parties or Royal Ascot or just worn with a simple floral frock for Goodwood or other revivals. It's not easy to find a simple pillbox on the high street (except at a price) and we think they add just that touch of understated chic to even the simplest outfit and suit all ages and face shapes.
