How glamorous is this handbag, it is a real statement piece, it is large and very eye catching in a glossy black crocodile skin with a very distinctive black, curved gilt edged flap over the top of the bag which just clips over the simple clasp underneath. It's a very high end top quality handbag which would have been very expensive when new. It's in very good condition, the croc skin is supple and still very glossy but the handbag overall is not pristine, it's clearly been used and loved. The gilt trim edging to the curved top of the flap is still bright and shiny to the outside but it does have some tarnish and loss of gilt to the underneath. The handle is firm and strong with no issues. The dark tan suede lining is in good condition but again does show signs of wear but no major marks or stains, it's just a little tired from all those late nights!. The numerous slip pockets of the handbag, including the lipstick pocket are edged in black, always a sign of quality.
This is a gorgeous handbag, it's glossy, glamorous and very eye catching with the curved metal flap and gilt edging, notwithstanding it's less than perfect condition. It is large, especially if used as an evening bag and looks a high quality piece. It's vintage and high end at a glance. Perfect for Christmas parties and at a price one doesn't have to be to precious about it. The quality means that it's smart enough to wear anywhere, Royal Ascot, weddings, investitures, it looks an 'old money' handbag and we love it. In pristine condition it would be several times the price, so get the look for less!
