This is a sophisticated and elegant high end crocodile skin handbag made by Bagcraft, a British brand which earned a royal warrant from HM The Queen as purveyors of handbags to the royal family. This handbag has survived the years in superb condition. It looks seldom used and very well stored. The crocodile skins are still supple and glossy with no splitting or cracking, even to the handle which tends to be the Achilles heel of reptile skin handbags. The handle itself is lined underneath with leather for added strength. There is some loss of shine to the base of the handbag (should have used a handbag hanger) but that is not noticeable in use. There is a dainty slim rolled top bar which is covered in crocodile skin, finished off with gilt end finials, this feature makes the handbag a bit more ornate and special than the usual. The small gilt clasp has some darkening of the gilt but nothing to detract from the look of the handbag, the rest of the frame has some marks but is still shiny. The inside of the handbag is also in lovely condition. It is lined in fine suede in a mid tan which is immaculate with no marks or stains. There are two slip pockets. Sewn inside one of them is a fabric label with Made in England on it. There is also a wide, zipped pocket, above which is the Bagcraft label and the By Royal Appointment crest.
