This is an absolutely super and really eye catching large size vintage handbag, in rare mid tan Monitor lizard skin. It is in a really unusual curved shape which we love. It is in excellent condition, amazing when you consider it dates from the 50s (possibly late 40s!) There are few issues at all with this handbag, it is in excellent condition throughout with beautiful glossy supple skins and a smooth brown lined interior. The clasp itself is a particularly attractive feature of the handbag a barrel shape which is at the centre of a lizard skin covered rolled top bar with no loss of shine or tarnish to the metalwork and minimum diminution of the gilt. The handle is lizard skin with no cracking or creasing from age or use. The handbag is lined in brown leather, in very good condition but with some scuffs and scratches from use but no marks or stains. There is a lipstick pocket,two slip pockets and a zipped pocket. The colour is a gorgeous golden tan and we love it. No brand name so possibly made in the far east.
