This is a super Summer handbag just in time for the new season. It is quite capacious with semi rigid sides and is in excellent condition. It is clean, no damage to the raffia or wooden beads to the exterior, slight wear to the gilt clasp but not really noticeable and that's about it. The inside is lined in cotton in the same colour as the outside, it is clean with just one water stain on the base of the lining ( visible in the photos) possible perfume. There is a label sew into the lining with 'Foreign' on it. For some reason we always associate these raffia or beaded handbags with Italy, many were made in Italy and we think they conjure up the Audrey Hepburn, 'Roman Holiday' image accessorised with sneakers, capri pants and large sunglasses.
A super handbag in a very wearable colour and something a bit different for the warmer season, or very suitable for holidays (in Rome?) where a leather bag may be a little too heavy looking. It is in a great size for all essentials and more. It will fit a purse, phone, make up etc and those large sunglasses.
